Headsup Analytics was founded by seasoned engineers and DevOps professionals from the fast paced world of Wall Street trading technology, where success or failure is measured in milliseconds.

Leadership Team

Anthony Brown, Co-Founder, CEO

With a passion for developing reliable software, Anthony is an industry veteran with 27 years of software engineering and management experience covering everything from AI-driven equity trading systems, to developing guidance systems for robotic farming equipment.

“Over my career I have developed a methodology to successfully develop and manage high performance technology. It comes down to understanding the realities of the customer vision up front beyond the specifications, and involving stakeholders in all stages of the process as the solution becomes a reality.”

Anthony has led numerous high-performance development teams for firms in the United States and New Zealand. Most recently he established and led a trading division for prominent Wall Street firm BTIG, where he developed cutting edge trading algorithms for the US equity markets that are now used by the world's largest financial institutions.

Anthony is an oceanic sailor having sailed his family 13,000km from San Francisco, USA to Auckland, New Zealand, where his aptitude for resilience enabled them to brave storms and overcome equipment breakages while crossing the Pacific Ocean.

Martin Kosina, Co-Founder, Director Of Engineering

Martin's career spans 26 years, during which he has served as a leader, designer, and practitioner of high-performance technology. He has an intimate understanding of what works and what does not, with innate knowledge of the critical metrics and methodologies required for successful deployments.

Throughout his career, he has designed, developed, and deployed leading-edge protocol optimization technology, high-speed stock market data processing systems, and autonomous AI-driven equity trading algorithms and market-making solutions. He has worked for and with prominent companies, including Intel Corporation, Goldman Sachs, Yahoo Finance, and a Wall Street financial services firm, BTIG.

Martin's passion for managing mission critical systems is also represented in his passion for flying, he is a qualified commercial pilot.

Headsup Analytics was born from the fast-moving world of electronic trading on Wall Street where founders Anthony and Martin developed high performance AI driven trading systems, deploying corresponding critical high level observability technology.

We could see what parts of our systems had problems allowing us to fix them, and critically we were able to push out changes at a very high cadence, and focus on growing the business knowing that our stack was constantly being monitored and supervised.
